G. Peratt, M.A., C.S.C.S.
Hello!
Thank you for visiting Absolute Personal Fitness. My name
is Galvin Peratt and I have been a fitness professional
for about 9 years. I was a weight room instructor at the
University of Arizona Student Recreation Center from 1994
to 1997. During this time, I was also a volunteer student
assistant for the strength and conditioning department.
I accepted a position as a Graduate Assistant Strength and
Conditioning Coach at the University of Arizona in 1997.
Over the course of my term as a graduate assistant, I was
assigned to work with several teams. I was directly responsible
for the strength and conditioning programs for women's soccer,
women's gymnastics, women's basketball, and diving, and
I assisted the head strength and conditioning coach with
football and swimming. I also served as the strength coach
for University of Arizona Men's Club Volleyball team from
1998 to 2000, and during this time, the team won 2 club
national championships. During this time, I also worked
as a personal trainer, and I have experience training clients
of various ages and fitness levels. I am a member of the
National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and
hold the NSCA's Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist
Certification. I earned a B.S. in Exercise and Sport Sciences
in 1996 from The University of Arizona and an M.A. in Teaching
and Teacher Education in 2001 from The University of Arizona.
I have participated as a speaker in several seminars and
clinics including the 1999 Southwest Fitness and Conditioning
Clinic and the 1998 Arizona NSCA State Clinic, and I regularly
attend professional conferences and clinics. I look forward
to the possibility of working with you and I wish you the
best in your health and fitness pursuits!
